You can throw just about anything in a fruit smoothie to enhance its flavor such as honey, tofu, jams, any combination of fruits, peanut butter, juices, etc., but keep in mind it will effect the nutritional values.
Here is something you might like:VERY BERRY FRUIT SMOOTHE
1 cup of strawberries 2 ounces of bananas sliced 1 liter of yogurt 1 ounce of milk 1 3/4 cup of rasberries 1 cup of blueberries
Blend. Enjoy the smoothie on a hot summer day.
Blueberries, along with other colorful fruits and vegetables, test high in their ability to subdue free radicals. These free radicals, which can damage cell membranes and DNA through a process known as oxidative stress, are blamed for many of the dysfunctions and diseases associated with aging.
Research published in the July 2006 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition ranked Blackberries as far and away the most antioxidant-rich food (on the basis of a typical single serving) out of 1,113 types tested.
