Strength Restorative Smoothie
This smoothie is great if you are trying to gain weight or build up your strength after a period of illness.
You can throw just about anything in a fruit smoothie to enhance its flavor such as honey, tofu, jams, any combination of fruits, peanut butter, juices, etc., but keep in mind it will effect the nutritional values.
1/3 cup (90 ml) plain yogurt 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) milk 1 banana, peeled and sliced Flesh from 1/2 small avocado 5 Brazil nuts 2 teaspoons honey 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
Process all the ingredients in a blender until smooth and frothy.
While yogurt has long been known to fight yeast infections and bad breath, recent studies have revealed that the velvety treat can cure ulcers and relieve painful gastrointestinal symptoms like bloat and cramps.
That's because its probiotic bacteria, L.acidophilus and B.lactis, crowd out ulcer-causing H.pylori and harmful lactic acid, a by-product of milk and sugar fermentation, thereby stopping the growth of food-borne pathogens like E.coli.
