Protein Power Smoothie
You can throw just about anything in a fruit smoothie to enhance its flavor such as honey, tofu, jams, any combination of fruits, peanut butter, juices, etc., but keep in mind it will effect the nutritional values.
Make sure you buy tofu that is labeled 'silken' for drink recipes.
1 banana, peeled and sliced 1 tablespoon protein whey powder 1 tablespoon carob powder 4 oz. (125 g) silken tofu 1 cup (250 ml) milk 2 teaspoons brown sugar
Process all the ingredients in a blender until smooth and frothy.
Here are simple steps to beat the urge to splurge during get-togethers. Eat a protein-rich meal at home ( like a turkey or tuna- salad sandwich or whole-grain bread) before you leave for the party. That gives your stomach the 20 minutes it needs to deliver the feel-full signals to the brain. And since protein digests more slowly than carbohydrates or fat, you'll have plenty of time to talk with friends/love ones before hunger strikes again.
