Fruit Salad Smoothie
You can throw just about anything in a fruit smoothie to enhance its flavor such as honey, tofu, jams, any combination of fruits, peanut butter, juices, etc., but keep in mind it will effect the nutritional values.
1/2 cup (125 ml) fresh orange juice 1/2 cup (125 ml) vanilla yogurt 2 nectarines, pitted 1 frozen banana, sliced 1/2 cup (60 g) fresh or thawed
Process all the ingredients in a blender until smooth and frothy.
Using a frozen banana gives this drink a thick, creamy consistency, but it will be equally delicious with a fresh banana.
Bananas are difficult to peel once they are frozen, so peel the banana first, then seal in a plastic bag with the air expelled before placing in the refrigerator. It will take about 3 hours for the banana to freeze.
