Breakfast On the Go Smoothie
You can throw just about anything in a fruit smoothie to enhance its flavor such as honey, tofu, jams, any combination of fruits, peanut butter, juices, etc., but keep in mind it will effect the nutritional values.
1/2 cup(125 ml) vanilla soy yogurt 1/4 cup (45 g) unblanched raw almonds 1 cup (250 ml) oat milk 1/4 cup (25 g) dried apples 1/4 cup (45 g) dried apricots 3/4 cup (180 ml) water 2 teaspoons wheat germ
In a small saucepan, bring the apricots, apples and water to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer until the fruits are very soft, about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat, drain and set aside to cool.
Process the fruits with all the other ingredients in a blender until smooth and frothy.
